This test is useful in establishing a diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism and distinguishing nonparathyroid from parathyroid causes of hypercalcemia. It is also difficult to form a close and true therapeutic relationship with such patients, because either the patient avoids the relation (he wants to stay independent from others and to have an available object-food), or else he wants a very close, symbiotic relation, to meld with the therapist or to suck him dry through his demands. Increase in their dose beyond saturation levels causes an increase in Cpss which is out of proportion to the change in dose rate. The shunt is designed to remove excess cerebral spinal fluid from the ventricles of the brain. The only antidepressants clearly shown to be effective in juvenile depression are fluoxetine and sertraline. Withdrawal symptoms are- excitement, hallucinations, delirium, convulsions; deaths have occurred. Leprosy Definiton: Leprosy or Hansen disease is a slowly progressive infection caused by Mycobacterium leprae affecting the skin and peripheral nerves and resulting mainly in deformity, paralysis and ulceration. Unilateral serous effusion should prompt a fiberoptic exam of the nasopharynx to exclude neoplasm.
